Beaver trapping and nuisance problems in Michigan
Beavers are considered the largest rodent in North America.  They live in aquatic environments and build there dams (living areas) out of logs, sticks and whatever else they can find.  They have large teeth and use them to saw down trees and branches.

Nuisance Problems:  Beavers are major nuisance animals around crops, homes, and forest.  They chew down hundreds of trees and cause home owners problems to their forestry.  The major problem is the damns they build.  Damns will cause flooding into yards around homes and sometimes create flooding in basements which can cause major damage to the home.

How to Get Rid of Beavers

Problem Solver: There is no magic spray or beaver repellent you can use to get rid of beavers. Beavers must be trapped and relocated.  Once the beavers are gone the damn can be destroyed to stop flooding and prevent new beavers from moving in.You can also prevent beavers from chewing on trees by installing heavy wire about four feet high around the base of a tree.

Recent Beaver Removal Job in Fenton, MI

A homeowner owns a private lake in Tyron Twp., MI, just south of Fenton. He stated he was having problems with beavers flooding out his private drive to the lake. He reported seeing up to 6 beavers at any given time. The problem for us the beaver dams were not accessible by land. The only way to set traps and get to the land was to set up traps via a row boat. We were able to trap and relocate all of the beavers. Once we removed all the beavers we were able to destroy and clean out all of the dams.
